SoChlor’s biomimetic technology mimics the natural response of certain white blood cells, releasing a non-toxic, biodegradable compound, hypochlorous acid, upon contact with pathogens. When dissolved in water, NaDCC also releases hypochlorous acid – the safe, intelligent active ingredient in SoChlor. With a significantly higher level of available chlorine, hypochlorous acid is about 100 times more effective than household bleach, making SoChlor’s antimicrobial performance effective against more resilient pathogens, including mycobacteria, spore-forming bacteria, and non-enveloped viruses. Consequently, SoChlor is ideal for high-level and outbreak disinfection, such as combating SARS-CoV-2.
