As the patient steps onto the scale, a distinctively colored BMI disc moves beneath the highly accurate weight display on the large, easy-to-read dial. This is visible through a small window adjacent to a printed height scale. After determining the weight, the BMI range is easily readable, categorized by contrasting colors into underweight, normal, overweight, and obesity.
